The legendary Iron Maiden bassist, Steve Harris has recently released his first solo/side project, the album British Lion. At the heart of this new album is the super charged inimitable playing style of Steve using his signature Rotosound Bass Strings.

The founder member of Iron Maiden will be taking his first ever, temporary break from the band to tour Europe promoting the British Lion album starting February 2013.
Steve said ‘I have used Rotosound products throughout my career and it was great working with them to produce these Bass Strings.’ The Steve Harris Signature Bass Strings are a four-string set in 50,75,95 and 110 gauges. They have a smooth silky feel, which produces a unique, clear, mellow tone.

British Lion is Steve’s debut CD outside Iron Maiden and was released by EMI in September 2012. Featured alongside Steve are Richard Taylor on vocals, David Hawkins on guitar and keys, Grahame Leslie on guitar, and Simon Dawson on drums. The 10 track album was mixed by Kevin Shirley [Maiden’s longstanding producer] and has been pronounced both “brilliant” and “a big hearted ferocious triumph” by the music press who also commented that although it’s stamped with Steve’s inimitable style, it’s also very different to Maiden, so fans will be in for a whole new experience seeing and hearing these new songs played live.
