It seems that music is taking a turn back to guitar driven bands. The sort which started with a second hand guitar and rehearsals in your mate’s mum’s living room. There’s been a sudden rush of brand new talent on the British music scene, and White Bone Rattle are hotly tipped as a band to watch (‘Riffs that deserve stadiums and thousands of screaming fans’ according to The Gig Guide) – you can expect lots of guitar, lots of neat riffs and rock flourishes from these guys; ‘sounds that are inseparable from the drug-hazed days of the 60’s and 70’s’. The band, formed of two sets of brothers, was signed in 2010 and has since shared stages with the likes of Band of Skulls, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Gary Moore. If you had to put them in a genre you’d probably describe them as a psychedelic rock band, but if you’re not into the 60’s vibe you shouldn’t be deterred. Their reviews are certainly packed with positive stuff, and if you’re into music with ‘properly catchy hooks and more energy than a souped up Corsa full of teens on Red Bull’, you should definitely check them out. While the band are busy with their current UK tour, they’ll be using Roto 10’s, Roto 11’s and Roto Bass strings.
