Reverend and The Makers are an indie pop band based in Sheffield. Fronted by Jon McClure, aka ‘The Reverend’, the band’s debut album, The State of Things, propelled the band into the mainstream music scene as well as spawning Heavyweight Champion of the World, which reached the Top 10 in the UK singles charts. Since then, the band have appeared on the same line up as bands such as fellow Sheffield-born band, Arctic Monkeys, as well as Oasis, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Kasabian, The Enemy and The Verve to name a few, playing at many of the major UK festivals and renowned London Venue, KOKO, in Camden. The band are set to release their third studio album, @Reverend_Makers (because ‘nothing representing the modern times better than the ‘@’ symbol’), on 18th June with their single The Wrestler out on the 11th June – so keep an eye out for that. The bands’ Ed Cosens told us via twitter that he’s currently using our Rotosound Orange Hybrids because he ‘likes a heavy bottom – ooo-er’. Well – he said it.
